As ever, December was a month of festive get-togethers.
The Women 2 Win Christmas Business Club was a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow candidates, entrepreneurs, power women (and man!)
I had the pleasure of attending the AGM for my one of my favourite groups, the Conservative Rural Forum. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet rural spokespeople who highlighted local challenges and successes, and the rural issues we need to tackle.
Next I was back in Hertfordshire and this time in St Albans to lend support to the campaign of new Parliamentary Spokesperson Claire de Silva. The town is stunning and serene, and Claire is a fab candidate.
Contender for the best lunch of the year was the CFI Annual Business Lunch, a wonderful opportunity to lend support to our Jewish brothers and sisters, and to listen to the experiences of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Lord Pickles and Foreign Secretary James Cleverly. It was also an honour to meet former PM Boris Johnson, who was sat so close that it would have been rude not to ask for a pic!
That evening, after attending a virtual Governor meeting, it was on to the Digital Tories Christmas event with LinkedIn and Millbank Creative.
I was very keen to see Security Minister Tom Tugendhat speak again, so I popped over to the Policy Exchange the next morning, to hear his thoughts on misinformation and social media.
Another highlight of the month, was the 3rd session of the CWO KCF Speaking club. Despite the train strikes, we welcomed more ladies than ever and many from across London and the country! A special shout out goes to our Oxonian Louise Brown, who I met whilst campaigning in Tiverton & Honiton.
I am so grateful to our speaker for the evening, the exhilarating Virginia Crosbie MP, a Kensington resident and MP for Ynys Mon, who always ensures that Anglesea residents are being heard in Parliament.
The following evening it was back to Parliament for the Bond Street Awards, hosted by the charming Arlene Foster, and an opportunity to celebrate my friend Claire Ambrosino, one of the evening's award recipients. I had a hilarious chat with Damian Green MP, who was extremely generous with his advice.
I was thrilled to have my first article published in Conservative Home - more details to follow in the next post!
And I rounded off the year with Martin (my pup), campaigning in Woking with new friends, and delivering Christmas cards to the residents of our fab ward Brompton Hans Town back in K&C.
Thank you so much to those who have supported me this year. There are so many unnamed who have been instrumental in my journey and whom I am so grateful to know and have met. Thank you to everyone who has been so generous with their time and given me superb advice along the way!
